This popped up on my email today and I wanted to share it. I am going through a lot of changes this fall professionally and in my art work. The Meaningfulness of Lives God? Conviction? Passionate intensity? What are the qualities that make for a life that matters?

Thinking about little pieces

I am reflecting on the difference between conscious and intermittent thought patterns. I thought I was just going to be able to put the small pieces of fabric together and it would turn into this amalgamated piece. But its impossible, even with the tiniest bits, not to look at the color.

Thinking of a title…

So it turns out I have a solo exhibition in Johnson City in MARCH. haha. suddenly I have to be ready its almost March. Thinking of a title….. I think I will call it Habitats. (The exhibit, I mean, this piece is Evening Wetlands, so the habitat, is an evening wetland)

This is the house across the street. We are moving here and I hope to turn the other one into a studio. The landlord really wanted us to move into this one because he wanted someone who would take care of it.

Watching the sun rise on a very, very special day. Love in my heart for everyone in my life. Grateful to be alive, I am at the Jacquard Center, getting ready to weave throws. Life is a gift.

Taming the Forest

The piece as installed last year. Still need to get a good photo taken. This is in Pilesgrove, New Jersey, at my friend Denise’s home. She owns a wonderful horsefarm and breeds show horses and gets them trained, and boards them.  

Rain on the lake

Spent my first night of this year at squam last night. Peace, joy, serenity. As I walked into center harbor to do some work today, the carillon was playing a hymn in the square. All is well. The rain on the lake echoes circles of peaceful, quiet thought .
